Kim James is the owner of CheerTime Athletics and started Dream Team All-Stars with Michelle Hether in 2005, where she has been training athletes ages 4 and up for over 10 years. She has been involved in cheer and dance for 29 years. Prior to starting CheerTime Athletics, Kim was a former dance, cheer, and tumbling instructor for 6 years, as well as a former high school and middle school cheerleading coach.
Kim graduated from Youngstown State University in 2003 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts and a minor in journalism. She was a member of the YSU Dance Team for 3 years and was the captain.
Kim has been the owner of CheerTime Athletics for 14 years conducting cheer camps, choreography, competition series, coaches consultation, and training over 60 local school cheer and dance teams in Ohio and Pennsylvania. She has been choreographing routines professionally for 15 years for nationally, state, and regionally ranked cheer and dance teams (rec, junior high, high school, and all-star).
Kim is the founder and event coordinator of the Zeta Tau Alpha Pink Ribbon Cheer Classic which has raised over 1 million dollars for breast cancer since its inception in 2001. She has been recognized and awarded for coaching efforts including coaching staff of the year, outstanding coach, and outstanding coaching staff. In 2014, Kim was a recipient of the Mahoning Valley Young Professional 25 Under 35. Kim is USASF certified as a professional USASF member. Other certifications include CPR, AED, First Aid, Concussion Injury, AACCA, and NCSSE.
Michelle started Dream Team Allstars with Kim James in 2005. Michelle's prior experience includes being a high school cheerleader, All-star cheerleader, and studio Dancer. Michelle was a gymnastics coach for Olympic Dreams Gymnastics, starting at the age of 12, where she coached under her mom learning some of the best coaching techniques. Michelle continued her coaching through high school and her early years of college. She then while attending YSU, coached with Kim at Liberty High School, for a few years. She also has 6 years experience teaching dance.
Michelle is not only known for her cheerleading coaching skills, but for her hip hop choreography as well.
Michelle is a USASF (levels 1-5) certified coach, AACCA Certified as well as CPR, AED, & First Aid trained.
Michelle has choreographed numerous Junior High, High School, Rec. and Allstar cheer and dance routines. She has won several choreography awards and holds many national titles.
When Michelle isn't coaching, she loves to spend her time with her supportive husband and 2 beautiful boys.
Stephanie has been involved in dance and cheerleading for a total of 21 years. She was a dancer for 13 years and cheered for Liberty throughout middle school and high school.
Stephanie has been working for CheerTime athletics as an instructor for 8 years. She has experience in teaching summer cheer camps for both high school and middle school cheer teams, staffing competitions, judging tryouts and competitions, teaching private lessons. She has also been involved with teaching recreational tumbling/stunting classes as well as camps. She also assists in the planning of CheerTime Athletics competitions.
Currently, in addition to coaching, she is working alongside Shalin Harris as the Dream Team Allstars Program Coordinator.
Stephanie has been involved in Dream Team since it’s inception in 2005. She was a member of both the Senior Level 4 team and the Senior Hip Hop team for 3 years. She has been coaching for Dream Team since she graduated in 2009. This is her 8th year coaching. Stephanie is certified in levels 1-3 in tumbling and stunting. Other certifications include first aid, concussion injury, and CPR/AED.
Stephanie graduated from Youngstown State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends!
Anita has been involved in cheerleading and dance for the past 13 years. She has received numerous awards for both jumping and basing. Anita has been involved in the Dream Team All Stars program for the past 10 years. This is her third year on our coaching staff where she is continuing to increase her knowledge in cheerleading.
Anita is currently studying exercise science at Youngstown State University. She is certified in CPR, first aid, concussion testing, and is USASF certified in level 1 tumbling and stunting. In her spare time she enjoys reading, listening to music, dancing, and experimenting with new makeup styles!
Anita enjoys coaching and learning new coaching techniques and tips to improve all of her athlete’s skills and performance. She also enjoys teaching summer cheer camps where she can meet new girls outside of Dream Team and shape them into better cheerleaders by learning their strengths and weaknesses.
Brandi has been involved in cheerleading for the past 14 years. She was previously a gymnast for 9 years and a dancer for 3 years. Brandi has been on Dream Team for the past 7 years, an assistant coach for one year, and is currently on our regular coaching staff for her second year.
Throughout her cheerleading career, Brandi has won multiple jump and tumble offs and has competed on her high school cheer team receiving runner up at state two years in a row.
Brandi is currently a student at Youngstown State University, majoring in Bio-Medical Engineering. She is certified in both first aid, and CPR, as well as concussion testing. In Brandi’s spare time she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, riding dirt bikes and spending time with her family.
